KKR New Team List : The Kolkata Knight Riders (also known by the acronym KKR) are a franchise cricket team representing Kolkata in the Indian Premier League. The franchise is owned by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan in partnership with actress Juhi Chawla and her spouse Jay Mehta. The team is currently captained by Gautam Gambhir and coached by Jacques Kallis, a former player of the team. The home of the Knight Riders is Eden Gardens, the largest cricket stadium in India and the third largest in the world by seating capacity.
KKR is currently the 2 times champion of IPL as they won in 2012 and 2014. There was a time when KKR was considered as the weakest team of IPL but things changes after three season of the IPL and they won the 2012 and 2014 edition of IPL. Not only this, KKR holds the amazing record for the longest winning streak (14 matches) by any Indian team in T20s.
The key players of the team are Manish Pandey, Gautam Gambir, Robin Uthappa, Yusuf Pathan, Andre Rusell, Shakib Al Hasan and Umesh Yadav. Sunil Narine is their trump card player and is also the leading wicket taker of the side.
Although, the team remained at the bottom of the tables in many seasons of the IPL, but if we consider that last seasons, Kolkata Knight Riders is not at all ready to give its champion tag to any other team. Even For IPL 2017, KKR is pretty much popular and is the first choice among viewers. Cricket is a game of uncertainty where it is possible that the defending champion won’t ever reach to semifinals and it is also possible that they will win it again.
